Dr. Samer Amaz Escanlar

Traumatologist

Dr. Sámer Amaz Escanlar has a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Santiago de Compostela and is a specialist in Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology after completing his residency at the Complejo Hospitalario Universitario de Santiago de Compostela. He currently works as an associate of Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology in the Upper Limb Unit of the Hospital Clínico Universitario de Santiago de Compostela. He also completed his doctorate in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Santiago de Compostela obtaining Cum Laude and International Mention. He has a special interest and advanced training in pathology of the upper extremity and extensive experience in highly complex processes such as reconstruction of evolved musculotendinous injuries, sequelae of fractures and degenerative problems such as osteoarthritis. He has specific training in complex shoulder and elbow pathology after completing several stays and fellowship programs in prestigious international centers. Dr Samer A.E. is a member of numerous national and international scientific societies, has written training books for specialists in traumatology and orthopedic surgery, and is the author of scientific publications in international journals. He also teaches training courses for specialists and resident physicians in different societies and associations, such as the prestigious AOtrauma, and is a teaching collaborator at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Santiago de Compostela.
